1.MECHANISM OF ACTION

Sinapultide mimics the action of endogenous surfactant protein B by inserting into the phospholipid monolayer at the alveolar surface. Its amphipathic structure allows it to facilitate the adsorption and spreading of phospholipids, stabilize the surfactant film during expiration, and prevent alveolar collapse (atelectasis). This action dramatically lowers surface tension, increases lung compliance, and improves gas exchange efficiency.
